TIDAL MARSH
Assist our ecologists with estuarine habitat restoration in Alviso and Redwood City, and help the Bay become more resilient to the impacts of climate change by tending baby plants in our nursery, planting them along the Bay's edge, and removing invasive species.
|
BURROWING OWL
Enhance owl habitat on land land not usually accessible to the public by removing invasive species, constructing and maintaining artificial burrow systems, and enhancing potential foraging areas with native plants and structural features.
|
SNOWY PLOVER
Enhance plover habitat to provide camouflage for breeding plovers and remove perches for predators by stomping in mud to create textured ground, spreading oyster shells on the ground and removing posts, fences, and other man made structures.
|
PASSERINES
Keep our Coyote Creek Field Station (CCFS) landbird banding program in San Jose operating smoothly by clearing and maintaining trails, repairing our mist nets, rebuilding the deck, and other maintenance activities.
