2019 California Fall Challenge Click Off Bird Photo Contest
SFBBO's 10th California Fall Challenge Click Off photo contest highlights the wonder and beauty of birds in California and beyond.
Participants who donate $50 or more in registration donations can receive the 2019 CFC T-Shirt (at right).
Contest Dates: The Click Off runs Sept. 14 - Oct. 13, 2019.
Contest Categories: Winners will be selected in the following categories "Birds and Their Habitats," "Bird Behavior," "World Birds," and (new this year!) "Bird Humor." At our Annual Membership Meeting on Oct. 27, 2019, SFBBO members will vote on which of these four Category Winners will win the grand prize People's Choice Award, and all Category and Merit Awardees are invited to attend! Contest Prizes: Our four Category Winners will receive SFBBO a $25 gift certificate to Columbia Sportswear, and our grand prize People's Choice awardee will also receive the opportunity to showcase one of their photos on SFBBO's social media pages every Saturday throughout November and December, 2019, as well as a private photoshoot tour at our Coyote Creek Field Station with Landbird Program Director Josh Scullen! The winner will also have the opportunity to have work from their personal wildlife photo portfolio showcased every Saturday for the rest of 2019 on SFBBO's Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages!
How to Register: Registration is $25 per 5 photos entered. There is no limit to the number of submissions you may enter into the competition. You can make your registration donation by clicking on the "Register for the CFC" button below.
Next, choose the "Trips and Contests" button and choose the "Click Off" button. You can also send a check to SFBBO, 524 Valley Way, Milpitas, CA 95035. Please include a note on the check indicating that the donation is to go toward the Click Off.
How to Submit Photos: After registering, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your photos attached and include your name, contact information, the name of each photo, and the category each is in. Photos must be sent in high resolution at 300 dpi.
How to Name Photos: Photos should be named in this style: Last Name, First Name_Title of Photo_Contest Category. For example: Smith, James_Anna's Hummer_Behavior or Smith, Jane_White-spectacled Bulbul_World.
How to Peer-to-Peer Fundraise with Photos: You can also use your photos to help raise money for SFBBO. Consider creating a fundraiser on your Facebook page and asking people to donate a certain amount to SFBBO for each "like" your Click Off entry photos receive.
We can also create a page for you on our website where you can showcase your bird photos and ask for donations to support bird conservation.
