California Fall Challenge Click Off Rules

You must be the sole author and owner of the copyright in all pictures entered.
Manipulation
Photographs must accurately reflect the subject matter as it appeared in the viewfinder. Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (including but not limited to removal of dust, cropping, and/or adjustments to color and contrast) will be disqualified. Normal processing of RAW image files or minor adjustments to color and contrast are acceptable, as is minimal cropping.
Usage Rights
Unless otherwise stated, submission of images to this contest grants the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory a nonexclusive, worldwide, perpetual, fully-paid, royalty-free license to use the photographs in any manner related to the contest and or its conservation work. Impactful imagery helps the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory deliver on its mission to promote the conservation of birds and their habitat in the Bay Area. The San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory frequently uses images on its web site, newsletters, social media, and various publications to help communicate its mission of avian conservation. These images are donated to San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory by members interested in sharing their photography to help the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory achieve its goals.
Entrance Fee/Donation
A $25 donation is required to submit images into this competition. This donation entitles you to enter up to five images into the competition. There is no limit to the number of donations/submissions you may enter into the competition. Participants who donate $50 or more in entries can receive the 2019 CFC T-Shirt!
Submission Period
Submission must be received by October 13, 2019.
How to Register: Registration is $25 per 5 photos entered. There is no limit to the number of submissions you may enter into the competition. You can make your registration donation by clicking on the "Register for the CFC" button below. Next, choose the "Trips and Contests" button and choose the "Click Off" button. You can also send a check to SFBBO, 524 Valley Way, Milpitas, CA 95035. Please include a note on the check indicating that the donation is to go toward the Click Off.
Geographic Location
In the first three categories “Birds and Their Habitats,” “Bird Behavior,” and “Bird Humor,” judges will prioritize images of birds on the California state list, which can be found at the Western Field Ornithologists' web page, under the California Bird Records Committee tab. The last category “World Birds” includes birds that live outside California.
File Formats
Photographs must be submitted at 300 dpi. Save files as jpg at their highest quality. Use the RGB color space.
