News on the Fly:

Viewing California Condors in the Wild
Join docents from the Ventana Wildlife Society for viewing free flying condors along the Big Sur coast! Condors have adopted a number of locations along the coast where they regularly sun themselves, feed on sea lion carcasses, and soar on the coastal breezes. Docents will explain how to identify wild condors and then use radio telemetry to lead the caravan to the best location for viewing condors. Spotting scopes are provided. Field trips are currently being held the third Sunday of each month from noon to 4 PM. Visit www.ventanaws.org for more information and calendar. Fee is $50 per person. RSVP required via Ventana Wildlife Society Cathy @ (831) 455-9514.

Special field trips and slide presentations about California Condor recovery can also be arranged.
