Make conservation science happen in the Bay Area
in the field…at the office...out at events...
Check out our list of volunteer opportunities as of spring 2008. Whether you are interested in field research or outreach. The Bird Observatory needs you!
How to become a volunteer:
- Join us as a member. Volunteering is a benefit of membership and is required. Membership can mean access to areas closed to the public, as well as the great chances to work with our biologists and other volunteers.
- Attend a "New Volunteer Orientation" to learn more about volunteer opportunities. The orientation is held twice annually in the spring and fall. The next volunteer orientation will be held in the fall of 2008. Check the calendar for updates. If you are interested in volunteering prior to the next orientation please send in your application and we will make arrangements.
- Fill out a volunteer application at the orientation or download it here (pdf) and send it to the Bird Observatory.
