Accept the Challenge - Join the Fun
This is our 15th Annual California Fall Challenge, the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory's biggest fundraising event. The funds raised help us continue to apply science and outreach to the conservation of birds and their habitats. Our goal this year is to raise $35,000. Your support is vital to helping the Bird Observatory reach this goal. Here are a few ways to participate:

Sign up for an exciting Guided Trip. If you are a birder, a nature lover, a photographer, or someone interested in bird science, there is a California Fall Challenge Guided Trip for you! Experienced leaders are ready to take you out to see interesting places and incredible species. Everyone who participates in a guided trip and/or donates $50 or more receives a special California Fall Challenge T-shirt. These trips fill, so sign up soon!

Join a Bird-a-Thon and get your fellow birders and friends together for bird science! Spend a relaxing morning birding locally or plan a big day competing in the Mewaldt Cup Bird-a-Thon. Just let us know that you are planning to compete. Please note, your birding trip must be held within the Fall Challenge period of September 10th to October 9th.

Fundraise for valuable prizes. As our members and our supporters, you believe in our mission and give to help us perform the scientific research and monitoring needed to conserve birds in our ever-changing world. You are also our very best spokespeople! Share our story with your friends and colleagues, tell them why you support this mission, and ask them to do the same. The greatest reward you'll receive is knowing you've done everything you can to support avian conservation.
